New Main Page

March 28, 2008

We have the ability to change up our main page since we got our cool new website. You will see it updated now and then because we like to keep it fresh! All the contents within our website are the same, like wedding client proofs, galleries, and our blog. We just like to repaint the front door once in awhile. Enjoy!

Some Randomness –

March 26, 2008

We are at the beginning edge of our spring busy season. (Is Spring actually here? YAY!) We are busy working on wedding books, engagement sessions, and bridal sessions. Our wedding book list is longer than usual, but rest assured we have all of our newlyweds covered.

BRHS boys baseball images have been taken and ordered. We will post the team shot soon!

We have most the of senior announcements ready for print. If by some chance you are a senior client of ours and haven’t got in touch with us, or we haven’t gotten in touch with you – that means your name wasn’t on our list. Call us ASAP if you are planning on us creating your senior announcements so we have them back in plenty of time for graduation.

Dani Boren – You are my hero. You know why!! *smile*

Junior Prom images are turning out spectacular! We could not believe how many beautiful people we saw that night! You guys and gals are awesome and you looked terrific! The guys looked like they were doing a good job of spoiling their dates with all the beautiful flowers we saw pass through. Good job! We have had a couple of emails asking when we will post Junior Prom images, or when they will be ready to pass out. We won’t post any images until the guys have had a chance to give their lovely dates their packages. And we expect delivery sometime the first week or so of April. We usually ask for 2 or 3 weeks to deliver- it is our first priority right now. Everything is on schedule.

A big shout-out to our prom staff – Abby, Devin, and Morgan. You girls rawk! Thank you so much! And another huge thank you to the BRHS prom committee for allowing us the opportunity to take the Junior Prom portraits. You put together a great prom! It was so much fun to be a part of it!

Our modeling contest expires on May 1st. We also have 2 other modeling contests in the works. We will be taking models with us for at least 2 speaking engagements and entering local girls in a national contest as well. Don’t be shy! You’ll never know unless you try!  We are constantly being told by other photographers around the nation about how we have such beautiful senior girls here. We agree! We have no doubt that several of you have a huge chance at winning a spot in a national competition!

And last but not least- as the Class of 2008 prepares to graduate- a special, sincere thank you goes out to Makel Archibald for being a great senior representative. We enjoyed getting to know you and your fam. This will be an end of an era for us as we change up our senior representative program for next year. We are going to share the love and reward our early seniors. We are already booking for the class of 2009! Makel came in the other day for another session. Ain’t she cute? Thanks again, Makel!

Talk to the rest of you later!

What a crazy past few days! We shot Junior Prom on Saturday night, then had to catch a flight promptly that next morning! We’ve been in Vegas this whole week, studying, learning and bringing home new ideas as well as new products for our clients. Some of our images were also highlighted in vendor booths! Check out all our awesome seniors doing some representin’! Snapshots of the booths below. Over 10,000 photographers go to this convention, and this was the biggest year ever. An image of ours was also present in the show guide. Very cool!

We also entered in the annual 16×20 competition and gratefully brought home 3 merits along with achieving a personal best in scoring. Right on! We are thrilled! The bottom images are our three prints that merited for us. Thanks to our beautiful subjects, it wouldn’t be possible without you.

Booth shots first, then our meriting prints:

All in the Fam-

March 13, 2008

Knowing a family this big has it’s advantages, that’s for sure. They could keep us busy all on their own! We must say, this is the epitome of the perfect family portrait. They all coordinated their clothing and preplanned everything perfectly. This is one sharp looking portrait! And the single family portraits turned out terrific too. The second image is the official Steve Harrington Photography- Family of the Year. ( We like to make up titles as we go along. )

Thank you, friendly family people. We had a fun time and a great challenge with that many blinking eyeballs. It was so easy, it was alarming. You guys are naturals! Talk to you soon.

Oh yes, how could I forget this last one? Thank goodness someone brought an extra black shirt along for the Manimal.

Saturday we spent the morning in Salt Lake City with Kelli and Jacob on their wedding day! Then their reception was back in Tremonton that afternoon and evening. What a great day! Congratulations you two! Below is a shot from the Temple and then Kelli’s bridal portraits we took recently.

We’ll be in touch. Thanks for having us! We really had a fun time.

So this Queen calls us and wants to chill with us for a day. We said, “RIGHT ON! And while you’re here, we’ll take some pictures even! Don’t forget your crown!” We had them all here; The Queen, her Queen Mother and Queen Sister.
Here is a peek at Tayler’s portfolio on her quest for Miss Utah and possible world domination.
In all seriousness, you people are awesome. It’s been really fun getting to know Tayler in the process. We are honored to be a part of your journey.
P/S – This is why I don’t come downstairs, I’m busy upstairs writing funny posts for our blog. Please don’t tell anyone how you saw me in all my glorious bed-headed beauty. (grin) This is going to come back and bite me someday. I just know it. Oh well.

Best of luck -and- we will all be rooting for you, Tayler!!!

The seniors of the Bear River Basketball team just finished their high school careers. We’re glad they called on us, this is totally Steve’s style! This image is a current favorite of mine. Congrats on a great year, boys! And thanks again to Polly M (you’re an awesome woman!) as well as the rest of the booster club, parents and Coach Park for keeping us in the loop.

Karli and Jesse are hooking up soon. We are their official-type photographer. Karli knows us well. That’s the fun part about already knowing your clients, you tend to relax and have more fun than you can stand. Karli thinks we’re funny. She told us so.  We tromped around the great outdoors to shoot their engagement sessions. Karli’s mom, Jan, tried to pull me down the hill once since she didn’t bring her snow skis. Then she had to pull me *up* the hill towards the end of the session.  Jesse helped a tree fall on Steve, but luckily it only hit his head. He’s Ok. Overall it was a dangerous session, but we all came out alive. LOL

Congrats to you beautiful people.

Here’s some samples of the adventure:

We called in some models to help us out with a current project. Thank you Shawnie, Jessica and Shaylee for spending some time with us. Here are some highlights of our shoot.

We’ve put up more details for our modeling contest for the class of 2009.

We have made a tentative deadline. Check the thread for any updates. We also have a mailer we will be sending out (shown below.) If you want this flier mailed to you, send your information to us through our new mailing list button.

The interest generated already has been great! We are excited to offer this opportunity to our clients.

We recently called in some models to help us out, we will be posting images of them very soon.
