We always get so excited when we pull seniors in from different areas. This is definitely one to remember! Allyson and her mom and sister traveled 4 hours from Vernal just for us. That’s cool! Allyson is a dancer from Uintah Highschool. (Go U’ettes!)  She definitely holds the record! We had a great time and she came all prepared with her favorite outfits, her sports gear and her dance gear, including one unicycle. How fun is that? No, I didn’t attempt to ride it, although the thought passed through my head.

So anyway, here are some sample of her session. The weather has been so nice, we really need to be out shooting more seniors during this Indian summer we are having. If someone is willing to travel 4 hours for us, I’m thinking our locals better quit procrastinating and get in here! *grin* This weather is totally perfect for some killer outdoor sessions. Check out Allyson’s outdoor shot. Wow!

Ok guys and gals, have a great Halloween weekend! I love this time of year!

Allyson, you are too cute. You take a great portrait. Thank you for coming to little ol’ Garland, Utah. We are thrilled you found us! Stay happy! We will be in touch.

Wise Family

October 26, 2008

Our favorite bear clan came to visit us for family pictures. We have always gotten the biggest kick out of the boys, and now with Lala in the mix, this is a totally entertaining time! I’m not so sure if Nikki feels like it ever goes smoothly, but it was pretty painless to get some good images of her crew! Great kids and cute family!

Thank you to the Wise fam. You guys are too much fun!

Bar J Wranglers Show

October 24, 2008

Clint Munns wrangled up yet another successful fundraiser for the community by bringing the Bar J Wranglers into town for 2 nights of entertainment. Clint books Steve to come in and take pictures during the event and it’s always something we look forward to. Here are some images of the event.

Great job, Clint! We know how hard you work at this all year long. Thank you for caring. It’s also great to have so many local sponsors stepping up to contribute. We’ve got a great community!

They all grow up and go away for a little while. We like it when the missionaries come to us before they leave, since mom and dad need a great formal portrait to remember them while their gone. Plus, I had the bonus of visiting with Bruce while Steve and Lendel were busy. That was the best!

Hey Lendel, have a great time in Indiana. We have a few good friends there actually.

Stay safe and keep smiling!

Bailey – Senior

October 20, 2008

Bailey was just too easy to photograph. I remember her cute face at the junior prom earlier this year. She is a senior at Bear River High School. Bailey brought her country gear and casual-wear in for an indoor outdoor session with us. We had a splendid time and have some awesome senior pictures to show for it! Can’t wait for you to come in and see, Bailey (and mom)! Thanks a bunch!

We just love our seniors!

Where did the summer go? Wow! We’ve hit a lot of milestones this year with the new studio, a record number of seniors and weddings, and professional accomplishments in our business. So we thought we’d take a minute of your time to update you on our progress. ok? ok!

First off-  Yes, the weather is changing and outdoor time is going to be a challenge soon. So – If you are still intending on getting your senior portraits done with us, we highly, highly suggest you call right now. Reasons: Our minimums increase after the first of the year, and spring is way too unpredictable to accommodate too many last minute calls for senior sessions. Right now the grass is still green and the weather is still fair. Spring will be dull and gray – and if you recall last Spring, we didn’t even see warm temps until late May to early June. So here’s your wake-up call to get on in here for some spectacular senior pictures during the best time of the year!

Second – We’ve grown into our new studio and can accommodate large groups indoors. Fall is for families! Our deadline for family portraits being back in time for Christmas is set for November 15th. We have a few spots available. We totally understand how hard it is for families to get together during the week – we are available on Saturdays – and we make ourselves available on Sundays through this season.

Third – I have to brag on my husband’s accomplishments this year. We just surpassed our first year as full time in the photography business. Although Steve has been at photography for many years, being full time is a great accomplishment for him. Steve has won numerous awards within this year. And who knew he’d be the bomb at public speaking? We put on our first photography workshop in June in Salt Lake City, which was terrific! And recently, we’ve been asked to speak at 2 major events for photographers. We will be flying to Nashville soon, and we are taking a local girl to model for us. We are teaching 2 classes while we are there and speaking at the event with 200 photographers in the audience. We’ve also been asked to be a fashion shooter for an event in Las Vegas in January in front of  approx 500 photographers. This is huge for us. HUGE!  Many of the photographers we will be shooting with, we have looked upon as inspiration. We are so grateful for this opportunity. Life is good!

Last but not least – 2009 Seniors and Past Seniors- if you’ve read this far, you need to keep reading! We will be taking one of our clients with us for a modeling session that we are having with a group of photo buddies while we are in Las Vegas. We need a model. And we are only taking a Steve Harrington Photography client. We are opening this up to any senior from the past 2 years, as well as 2009 seniors. You need to be available around the first week in January 2009. If you are interested, drop us an email. Do not send an inquiry unless you know you can be available that week. If you are a 2009 senior who is under 18, you will need to take a parent. We will need a strong commitment immediately or we will move onto the next girl/guy on our list. We are just getting this organized now, so details are subject to change. But we will be taking someone with us to Vegas in January. Who wants to go? Email us at steve@steveharrington.net or shelley@steveharrington.net or give us a call.

We appreciate all of our loyal clients.  Thank you for your support. We are only as good as our clients, and we know our clients are the best!

Annie – Senior

October 10, 2008

Here we have Annie! She’s a senior at Bear River High School. She came over for our indoor/outdoor session complete with horses, hat and gear. This was a great session and these were 3 very well behaved horses. They made it way too easy on us! Wow!

Thank you to Annie and crew for spending the afternoon with us. We had fun all the way to sundown! Steve should be calling you soon, if he hasn’t already. We are ready for you to come in!

Portraits of Jennifer

October 9, 2008

Jennifer came to us wanting some gift portraits to give to her husband for their upcoming anniversary. Great idea! We love portraits! These turned out really nice and we were happy to help create the perfect anniversary gift. Stan came in yesterday and picked them out, I think he was happy too.

Happy anniversary to the happy couple. Thanks for choosing us. We also have Talan’s senior portraits almost ready to go, so be on the lookout for those within the next week.
