Our Indiana PPA Experience

We recently returned from an Indiana speaking engagement for their local PPA Chapter. Let me just say right now, what a great group of people these folks are!  Their hospitality was unmatched by anything we’ve experienced before. We felt like part of the group as soon as we walked into the room. It was a pleasure and an honor to speak for them. We are truly grateful for the opportunity. We hope they picked up some tips from us, as I know every time we go to events like this, we always come home with new ideas on our minds. Here are some images of our lovely models they provided us. A huge thanks goes out to these girls too. They made our job easy!

We also took the time to visit friends in the area since we never have been that far East to speak before. It was great to get out and see a part of the country that we’ve never seen before. (The truck driver who ran us off the road into the median while we were going over 60 mph doesn’t count though. Happy to be alive after that one!)

Halloween Portrait Night – Encore on Halloween Night!

This year we did our Halloween portrait night on a Saturday afternoon because we were going to be out of town that week before. We know Saturday wasn’t ideal for some ghosts and goblins, so what we are going to do is have an encore  night, TONIGHT! But this time it will have to be by appointment and there is no early buy in opportunity. BUT, $18.99 is still a screamingly scary good deal for the best Halloween portraits you can get! Give us a call or even send us a text with a time you want to stop by! We’ll be here for your appointment!  Tell a friend, these turn out great! All ages are welcome! Student Portrait Packages are in for the 2011 season! Your prints are ready!

We have the student portrait package prints in and ready to be distributed. We will start calling/texting people to let them know it time to pick up orders. If you see this message before we get in touch with you, please give us a call and you can swing by and pick them up! For those who paid the extra to have them shipped, you should easily see these in your mail by the end of the week.

I have to say they all turned out so great! I can’t pick a favorite from the bunch! We have the cutest clients around! It’s fun to put them on the computer for people, but seeing these in print just made me go “wow!!!”  Keep this event in mind for every school season, I have no doubt we will be doing these again. We will block off a week for special pricing, it will be up to you to make sure you come in that week.

Makenzie’s Senior Portraits – Brigham City, Utah – Box Elder High School

Here we have cute Makenzie from BEHS. She’s a cheerleader and a great model for us! We had a great senior session with her recently. We did our popular studio/outdoor session with her on one of the prettiest days of the year! Before we know it, the weather will be changing, so we are loving all the cooler days we are spending with our seniors. Makenzie also helped us out with our Utah workshop as a model for our guests. She did a great job there too, of course. We are lucky and happy to get to know her better! A big shout out to Cjani, because I remember Makenzie mentioning her as a referral. Thanks to all! Here are a couple of our favorite images, although there were many more!

Whitney’s Senior Portraits – Box Elder – Brigham City, Utah

We’ve had a great time getting to know Whitney and her family. Whitney is one of our senior models from the class of 2012 for Steve Harrington Photography. She represents us well in Box Elder High School where she is a cheerleader.  You will see her images all over our site, we’ve done cheer pictures for her before as well as took her to be a model for us for our Utah workshop when she earned a position to be there.

Here are a couple of favorites from her studio and outdoor senior session.  Thank you Whitney for coming to spend your time with us! We look forward to working with you more!

We love Halloween! We all work so hard to make our Halloween costumes look the best, so it would only be logical to come and get a picture in it! All ages are welcome! We hope to see some awesome costumes walk through our door.

Our first annual student portrait week was a great success! – Steve Harrington Photography, Utah

The images are done, being sent off to print and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome! We had a great week of seeing kids, tweens and teens from our little valley. We are so appreciative for the support and we have no doubt you will love your images when you get them back in printed awesomeness! Watch here for a date we will specifically hang out for you to come grab them, if you can’t make that date, you can call or text us at 435-452-1952 to come gather them.

We will definitely be doing these student portraits again! Watch for details! Here are the images from the day, they have also been put in an album on our facebook business page. Feel free to tag yourself in them if we haven’t done that for you already!

Image competition sweep for us at WPPI!

October 3, 2011

We were super excited to get some recent news about our entries into the first half of WPPI’s image competition! We swept the senior category!

1st place with Sadie Smoot

2nd place with Emily Oldroyd

3rd place with Sam Smoot

This competition is international and fierce with competing on a large level, so this is a big deal to us! I have no doubt there were hundreds of senior images competing! I’d like to have Steve get the numbers and we’ll share the stats!

This is one of those times I find myself being too organized! I cleaned off my computer to get ready for the season, so I don’t have the images to show you right now! We are super excited about it though and will proudly put these up for display in our studio! Thanks to our clients for making it so easy to make pretty pictures!
