Shayley and her cuteness came in for an indoor/outdoor senior session with us. She cheers for Box Elder High School in Brigham City, Utah.  We locked onto her “pimped out” zebra car and knew we had to get a fun image of it with her, no doubt. Zebra phone included. It turned out to be a recent favorite of mine and it will be highlighted in a handout we have for the Box Elder County Fair.

Great images here! We had a great time! Thanks Shayley! Talk to you soon!

Come and see us at the Box Elder County Fair this year. We will be in building #3. We will be displaying our work and giving away great prizes. We will also be having an exclusive sale or two that you can only buy during our booth at the fair. Stop by and say hi!

You read that right! Your fun factoid of the month would be Kersten’s story. It all started with a phone call from a girl from Alaska. We said, “You do realize we are in Utah, right?” She said, “Yes, I have family in Spanish Fork that we are visiting and I want to get my senior portraits taken while I’m there.”  The story continues that she searched the internet for a photographer and came across us. Our favorite line from her goes like this: “I saw your site first, then started going down the line clicking on other photography sites, but – your work set the bar really high and I kept coming back to your website and decided to call you first.” …. I love this girl!! :D

So, she drove from Spanish Fork and spent the afternoon with us. We did our studio/outdoor session with her. We are so happy she did! She’s a doll and we got some great pictures of Kersten of the Alaska clan!

Thank you Kersten! We are back home and working on your images, we will be getting in touch with you soon!

Lisa and her bestie, Trixie came by for some outdoor senior portraits. Two of the sweetest girls we’ve met! Lisa also happens to be a great swimmer on the varsity swim team at Bear River High School. We were happy to meet them on the most perfect day and we got some great images, images that we can’t wait to share with them!

So a big warm “thanks” goes out to Trixie, Elisabeth and mom for hiring us for such a great job! We will see you soon!

It’s been a fun adventure! We knew we’d be busy people by scheduling 3 workshops so close together. But it’s not such a bad thing when you happen to be doing that which you love! We are fortunate people and will be the first to admit it!

Our last workshop took place in an old German settlement colony in Bethel, Missouri. Here is a fun factoid – I realized once we were there that we were not far from Navoo Illinois. I know a bunch of Utahans make that journey to visit the temple there. If this is on your planned list, I encourage you to take a trip through Bethel and stay at the Inn Harmony there. I could not believe how wonderful that bed and breakfast was. It was like traveling through a time machine. Inn Harmony – 1-660-651-2718.  The rate is $20/person/night and it includes a stocked kitchen to make your own breakfast. They have a kitchen as well and some rooms share a common bathroom. Your kids would love it! We had so much fun sitting out on the porch, talking shop while watching fireflies and possums!  (That doesn’t happen in Utah!) There is also a great buffet in Heartland just down the road. One of the best I’ve been to!

So anyway, the workshop went great. We had plenty of senior aged models to help us with the days we shot. Here are some samples from the workshop. We will add more to this gallery as they come along.

It’s good to be home and back to our studio and local clients! Give us a call if we can help you with anything. 435-452-1952

Thanks for reading our blog! – Shelley

Oh sweet Samantha! We were excited to get her in early for senior portraits. We wanted to be able to show her off all year long! We’ve done work with her as a Box Elder cheerleader and as well as did her family portraits once. She came in just before we left for Canada so we appreciate her patiently waiting for us to get some images up of her on our blog. Hopefully it was worth the wait! We will be in touch with you guys soon. Thanks for a great session!

Here are two of my favorites from Sam’s indoor/studio combo session.

Our 50% off senior sale is still on, but we are almost booked up through July. Give us a call if you want the best in senior savings that we offer through the year! 435-452-1952

So nice to see this family come back to us, they are full of beautiful people! It’s Marlee’s turn for her senior portraits. We did an outdoor only session with her and turned out some superb images. As Steve says, (insert sarcasm) “Man, I HATE my job!” when we get done with sessions like this!

Marlee is not only extremely pretty, she also happens to be a tough and talented varsity softball chicky!

A large thanks to the family. We appreciate your loyalty! Here are a couple of my favorites. We will be in touch soon.

To the rest of you… call and book your senior session today! This time of year is the best! I think these images prove it!

We get very anxious for the new seniors to start rolling in. Taylor is from Weber High School, Class of 2011 and what a way to start off the year! Hockey, motorcycles and a pretty girl! Have we ever mentioned how much we love our job?

Seniors – Call and book today! Don’t settle for anything less! 435-452-1952

Thank you Taylor and mom, we had a great time and I had to come right home and share these 2!

So you didn’t pull the trigger on our crazy 12 hour sale? That’s ok, we can still save you some money for being on top of things. Thru July, we are offering 50% off session fees for the class of 2011! ( I’m going to type with a lot of exclamation points here because I’m excited!!!)

Why do we do this?  Let us explain. We love to reward early birds! The more time you give us to produce most excellent images, the easier it is for us to spread out the love. Bottle-necking seniors in August, can turn mildly crazy while we get images together for the early yearbook deadlines.  We also do this because of the weather! Spring in Utah is way too unpredictable. This happens every year! Seniors may not realize this, but you are taking a big chance when you wait for spring and then we hope for good weather. It’s not an easy prediction. This year is a good example! It’s the middle of June and we have yet to see a stretch of warm, non-windy, non-rainy days!

If you are thinking,  “But, I may change before the Spring of my senior year..”  a) You ‘probably’ won’t.  We’ve been doing this awhile and have yet to see anyone drastically change through their senior year. b) If you do, we will happily add on a mini-session for your spring year that will cost you $75.00.

We also love July and August for many reasons, the weather is fairly predictable, you’ve been outside all summer, you’re active,  you don’t have to worry about ‘winter-weight” (we all know that story) and you have than awesome tan that you love to show off. AND we have plenty of time to give you the most amazing images possible! That’s what we love to do! (Plus, we like to show off your faces on our website all year long… that’s our favorite part.)

Our senior session fees will be 50% off through July. This is the best savings you will get from this point forward, so don’t delay! The more money you save, the more images you get! If you book your June or July session before June 30th, we will also include a special offer. You will need to deposit the 1/2 off session fee when you book, have your credit card ready and give us a call.

Our 12 hour sale went great, appointments are booking, and days are limited. We’d love to see you here. We have a lot of new ideas, styles and products that we can’t wait to try out! We are SO ready to photograph the Class of 2011, it’s going to be a great year!
